About the Artist
"Woohoo! You've found my website. Welcome and enjoy." ~ Dana Brown
Dana Brown is currently serving sass and magic as the Fairy Godmother from Shrek 2 at Universal Studios Beijing. A definite Jersey girl (Central Jersey...yes it's real), is a New York-based performer who loves musical theatre as much as she loves animals and Carol Burnett (look at gallery for proof).
It all started when she saw her father up on stage and she knew instantly, at the age of 7, that performing is what she wanted to do for the rest of her life. Dana is lucky enough to be able to say that she has done many shows side-by-side with her dad.
After that, Dana began intense training as a vocal major at a performing arts high school and studied at Broadway Artists Alliance (Summer Intensives and Adult Pro Intensive), Actor Therapy (Sessions 27 & 35 and AT Online), and Camp Broadway. She has studied privately with some of Broadway’s great leading ladies such as Lindsay Mendez and Raquel Suarez Groen. Some of Dana's favorite credits include Reno Sweeney (Anything Goes), Clarice (Acedia) and Madame (Hunchback of Notre Dame). Dana recently graduated from The University of the Arts with a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre. She has been on the Education Staff at Broadway Artists Alliance as well as a voice teacher at Music & Arts in Ridgewood, NJ. Dana also graduated from the New York Vocal Coaching's Voice Teacher Training & Certification 50-hour program.
When not on contract, you can definitely catch Dana in a park with her fuzzy son, Mochi!
